Day 35, 36 & 37

Thursday
I didn't do anything special on Thursday. I spent the whole day cleaning my house and sweating. I think that counts for working out. Also, my child weighs well over 20lbs so carrying him and picking him up is a workout in itself. I was happy to tackle some clutter in my house. I de-cluttered the baby's room and I redid some of my cupboards in the kitchen. It felt good.

For breakfast I had cereal. For lunch I had chicken and veggies. For dinner I had turkey Kielbasa and veggies over white rice. I have been using coconut oil when I cook so my food doesn't burn. It seems to be doing the job and is way less greasy than olive oil.

Friday
I actually did some crunches today and also used a ball to do some ab workouts as well. I didn't do too many but some is better than non. I did it while the little guy was playing on the floor.

For breakfast I had eggs and then I had gone to Trader Joe's to get some fruits and veggies and came across some sushi that looked delicious. For dinner I made eggplant parmigiana and it was very good. I did have a little pasta with it. I tried vegan pasta and it didn't taste very good.

Saturday

I weighed myself today and guess what 5 weeks of hard work has got me 10.2 lbs down! I had to work all day today and our air conditioning goes on and off so I was sweating so much. It's nice to know my hard work is paying off. I am getting multiple comments on how I look and it feels so good to get that affirmation that something is coming of all this.

Saturday for breakfast I had a gluten free waffle with almond butter and a banana. For dinner I had leftover eggplant parmigiana. Now for dinner I was craving barbecue chicken. I mad boneless skinless chicken breasts and put some barbecue sauce on it and through it in the oven. I also made a salad and thought I could just put them together for a BBQ Chicken Salad. I did cheat a little and had ranch with it. Over all it was a good end to my week! Thanks for following me you guys are awesome.

Day 33, 34

Tuesday I had to work and I had personal training first. My legs were killing me because of the workout the day before. It wasn't my whole leg either it was just behind the knee, so anything I attempted started to hurt. My trainer had me roll out my body first because I was in so much pain. If you know what "roll out" means then good for you, if you don't, well then your missing out. There is a cylinder foam thing that you can get from almost anywhere where there is fitness stuff. Then you take it and lay on it. It's like giving yourself a massage. You just roll your body over where you need to loosen up the tension and it feels so good!
For breakfast I had eggs, spinach, and salsa. For lunch I had chicken and veggies and for dinner I had a cheat meal and got a burrito.

Wednesday I had to go to my parents and do some hair up there so I was busy all day. For breakfast I had 2 hard boiled eggs and a banana. For lunch I had Gotten a Cobb salad from Farmer Boys and ate half. I ate the other half for dinner. Then I had to drive back home. It was a long day.

Day 31 & 32

I'm starting to get reactions from people about my weight loss. It feels good that they are noticing. I'm noticing my clothes not fitting right anymore and I'm excited!

So Sunday way day 31! I had to work all day and I had eggs for breakfast. For lunch I brought left overs from my family reunion the day before. It was a small sandwich, a little pasta salad with raw veggies and a salad. For dinner I had another salad with 2 hard boiled eggs.

I'm still on the hunt for some workouts at home! I'll probably start those Wednesday! I kind of want to do a progress kind of workout where you do so many to start and then as the month goes by you increase the workout. I can't wait. Right now I'm wanting to focus on my stomach so I'll be looking for good av and love handle workouts.

Monday was day 32 and I had personal training. I worked so hard this workout. I did a lot of lower back and legs. Boy was I sore this morning!!! I had work tonight also and tried to keep eating good. For breakfast I had eggs and then for lunch I had a salad with hard boiled eggs again. For dinner, I had gotten off work late and needed to go to the store for some things so I got a pre-made whole chicken and I made some rice with it. I had 1 cup of rice and took pieces of chicken and ate them. I guess you can say I took a break from veggies.
I just want to say thank you to all who are following my journey, it means a lot to me.

Day 29 & 30: 4 weeks down

Yesterday marked 4 weeks since I started my journey. I wanted to share my measurements with you. This time I only saw changes in my arms, legs, and bust rather than my hips and waist. My progress is slow but I will get there. I did however feel very sick today. It had to do with my stomach issues again but I'm not sure what caused it.

I had Subway for lunch and after that I felt sick all day. I am not sure what happened but my stomach was hurting so bad. I didn't even have any dinner that is how bad I felt. (Booooooo)

I took the boys on a walk this morning to get some kind of work out. I also had to go to my work at the mall so I got some walking done there too. Sometimes I feel I should be doing exercises at home, but every time I think about doing them, I feel like I should be doing something else like the dishes. I don't know, maybe it's just me who feels this way.

I had a little time for myself that night so I did a facial mask, shaved, and did my toes. It was nice that the boys were out of the house and I can get my Zen back.

Today, however, I had to go to a clients house early this morning and then had to drive up to my parents 2 hours away for a family reunion. Needless to say, my diet went out the window. I even forgot to eat breakfast (BAD GIRL). I got up at 5 am and drove there and back and we barely just got back so I just wanted to say that I love my results and I've just got to keep on going. Thank you all for the love and support you have given me. It means a lot when my progress is recognized.

Day 28

Thursday was my house cleaning day. I was supposed to go to personal training for the third day this week but the little guy wasn't feeling too hot so I decided to stay home with him while dad slept before work. It was an eventful day considering we just stayed home. I worked my butt off trying to go through things. Right now the babies room looks like a tornado hit it.

Anyways, because I was more worried about the little guy than myself today, my meals weren't that great. For breakfast I had my Honey Bunches of Oats like I have been doing, but I ran out of Almond milk so I had to use 1% today. For lunch I made turkey roll ups. I totally forgot to post a pic put I just took turkey lunch meat and rolled up some soft mozzarella in them. I also had a peach in between. For dinner, I had mad spaghetti for the man of the house and I didn't have alternative for noodles so I put maybe a cup in a bowl and put some olive oil and basil. Then I added tomato and feta to it. It was quite tasty actually. I still have yet to try spaghetti squash so I will have to put that on my to-do list this next week for sure.

Day 27

Wednesday I did had cereal for breakfast and then I made myself a caprese and avocado salad for lunch. I put soft mozzarella, tomato, and avocado with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It was so yummy. For dinner I wanted to make something different. I had gotten some pork chops and put them in the oven and made mashed potatoes and mixed veggies with it. I barely had half a cup of potatoes because I didn't want all those carbs. I did snack on berries when I got hungry in between.

I didn't have personal training and I didn't make it to Mommy and Me classes either. The little one is a handful as it is so I'm constantly running after him. When the man of the house got home that night he wanted to go on a family run. I thought it was a great idea and we went on a little jog around the block. It felt good to run and to get more family time in. I think we should do this more often.

Day 26

Tuesday, I had personal training again. My abs were a little soar but I we worked on arms mostly. I benched 95lbs which was the most I have ever done before. The trainers were amazed because the most they have seen was 165lbs from a woman. I guess I am one strong mamma! For breakfast I broke down and had an egg sandwich with an English muffin and ham. Lunch I brought a salad to work with feta, cucumbers, and avocado. For dinner me and the man decided to go out and we chose Chipotle and I got a salad with brown rice, chicken, a little sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. I had missed Chipotle because it is so good. I feel really good by eating good. I think that the personal training is very beneficial and I love it. Stay healthy ya'll!

Getting Rid of the Stuff

I cannot express enough on how therapeutic it is to get rid of things. I am in the process of de-cluttering my life and the one thing that was driving me crazy was my clothes. My closet and drawers would be over flowing but nothing would fit me. When I got pregnant, I decided I would get maternity clothes (obviously) but I didn't want to get rid of anything for when I lost the baby weight. In return, I collected clothes of all sizes and it has just been very hard on my self esteem to try on clothes that I want to wear but they don't fit.

Yesterday I took the time to go through these clothes and get rid of anything that was too small or too big. I would rather be comfortable than self conscious. I got rid of 2 bags to Goodwill and 2 more to my nieces.

Let me tell ya, it felt pretty Damn good! I know I will be getting rid of more as I keep loosing but it's a great start and my closet isn't so cluttered anymore. I did see something on Pinterest about de-cluttering your house in 52 weeks. I might have to give that a try. Sounds like a project I am willing to take on. Let's de-clutter together!

Day 25

So Monday was day 25, I had personal training and we did a lot of abs. She also told me that on a daily basis I need to tuck in my tummy to strengthen it. It makes sense if you think about sucking it in and holding your breath.

I'm trying to be religious about my water intake. I think I'm going to make the Gallon jug to do the gallon challenge because I am not doing so good with just cups.

For breakfast I had cereal. For lunch I had a Bah Mei salad from Boudin because I was at work and forgot to pack a lunch. I just had a little and my co worker had the rest. It had noodles and chicken in it. For dinner I had green beans and chicken.

I am working on a workout routine for home. My personal trainer gave me one so I'm going to try it. I also thought of just looking at Pinterest and doing workouts people post. I would love to do more videos for you guys but I had a hard time posting the last one. If you guys have any video suggestions please let me know.

Day 21, 22, 23, & 24 (weekend of beauty)

I WILL GET A HOLD OF THIS I PROMISE! So I did pretty good until this weekend I had a hamburger and pizza. We were with friends and family so it was inevitable. But other than that, it was chicken and salad and veggies for me. I am slacking on pictures and I am sorry but I will be more thorough in the future I promise. If you any of you have any questions please let me know.

I also had a mini beauty weekend and I got to use my foot detox machine. I have lots of info on this because I used to offer this in the salon that I work at. It is a great way to get toxins out of your body.

Basically, there is a part that goes into the water and a part that is on your wrist and it sends a current through your body to push the toxins out of your feet. Yes this might be gross for some to look at. The more you do this detox, the more the water will get clearer and clearer. Below is a chart to show what the color of the water means and what organ the toxins are mostly coming from. Mine started reddish and by the end it had turned kind of dark greenish black which it says gallbladder and liver. Seeing as how I don't have a gallbladder I know the same toxins are going elsewhere in my body.

I also did a hair masque which is really important for my frizzy hair with this California weather right now. I use the Moroccanoil Repair Masque and I left it in my hair while I did house work and watched my son. Deep conditioning treatments are very beneficial because they hydrate the hair and the conditioning lasts for 4-6 washes. I like to recommend this to all my clients because even if you have thin hair it will help your hair not brake in the long run.

I only went to Personal Training 1 day last week and I totally felt the difference. I just feel like I failed this week and need to do better this week for sure. Let me know if you have any questions about detox or deep conditioning. Thanks for the support!

Day 18, 19, & 20

So I'm playing catch up! Sorry y'all I have been extremely busy. I totally admire stay at home mom's that blog, as well as, mom's that work period. It is so difficult to find time just for myself that I can just sit and type. My little guy is starting to not take as many naps so its hard to even clean my house, let alone catch up on some sleep. This is a very difficult task these days so bare with me as I get a hold of my own life.

So day 18 was Monday. I worked that day and I didn't have personal training because there was construction going on so we weren't able to meet up. I wanted to work out on my own but I didn't find the motivation to do so. My meals were good. I had cereal, chicken and veggies, and then I had a little bit of African food. African food is really oily and fattening so I only had maybe a cup of rice and then the sauce I had was made with okra so it had some nutrients.

Day 19 was Tuesday. I worked that day as well and I had personal training at 6:30am. Well, she kicked my butt again. most of the exercises were with balance and I sure don't have none. They were very difficult. As for food, I had a banana in the morning. I was able to bring chicken and veggies with avocado to work, and then, I was finally able to make pizza with cauliflower crust and it was so good! I made it with chicken, pesto, mozzarella, and tomatoes. I got the recipe off of Pinterest so go check it out. Click here.

Day 20 was today, Wednesday. I am off on Wednesdays so I had the little guy. As I said before, he is starting to stay up longer. So when he sleeps I try to get all my house work done. I even forgot to eat breakfast this morning because I had everything else on my brain. For lunch I just had avocado and salsa and it was yummy. I snacked on a tangerine. I tried to remember the water which was tough though. I did cheat and have one scoop of ice cream which I know I will have to pay for that. Tonight's dinner, however, was the best meal I have cooked in a long time. I made healthy tacos. I got the idea from Pinterest again, but I made it kind of my own. I put turkey meat with seasoning and bell peppers on it. I put a little of rice with beans in it (which I purchased on accident) and topped it with lime juice, avocado, and salsa. I even put a little feta for fun. It was so delicious. I want to eat it every night. Click here to get the recipe from Pinterest. I didn't exercise today either. I need motivation at home! Any suggestions????

Day 17

Yesterday was house work day! I had to do laundry, clean the floors, etc. and deal with the little guy. I had a banana with Nutella and peanut butter for breakfast. For lunch I had a cutie (tangerine) and left over chicken. For dinner we got El Polo Loco and I got the grilled chicken tostada again on the 500 calorie menu. The whole day I was feeling up and down and then after dinner my tummy was upset. Not sure if it was the oil in the peanut butter or something else but I went to bed and woke up this morning with the same feeling. I know for sure I'm not drinking nearly enough water as I should be. I really need a beauty day and just pamper myself, but every mother knows that the little time you do get to yourself is when the baby is sleeping and then its either get the house clean, or take a nap yourself. Still trying to get the hang of everything I feel I have let myself go just a little. I cannot tell you the last time I had my nails done or gotten a face mask. I feel a beauty day coming soon! Until tomorrow ladies and gentlemen. I hope I feel better in the morning.

Day 16

Yesterday was Day 16. I Weighed myself and I have lost weight and inches so I am very excited. Compared to Day 1, I was 192.4 lbs and my measurements were: waist 45", hips 45", bust 44", arms 13", and thighs 24.5". Now today (as you can see above) I am down 3.5" in my waist, 2" in my hips, and .5" in my bust. However, I gained inches in my legs and arms, but I assume its because I am lifting during my personal training so I am gaining muscle. I am very happy with my 2 week results and I can't wait to see what the next 2 weeks will bring.

Breakfast at work was an Herbalife shake. Then we were really busy at work and I had a late lunch but I went to the Kabob Grill and had a chicken kabob with rice and a salad. For Dinner I had gotten a pre-made chicken for $5 and put shredded pieces on a salad with avocado with a little of Italian dressing. I feel that my eating is doing well and I am seeing results I wanted. Maybe this is going to be easier than I thought.

As for my exercise, I found time in the morning to go walking to the park with my family for 30 minutes before work. I also got to wear my new workout shirts I found at Ross. I didn't have any workout shirts and these shirts are also motivation for me! I am ready for the next 2 weeks. Bring on the hard workouts and meal prep because this mama is on a roll. Until tomorrow Ladies and Gentlemen.

Day 15

Today marks two weeks since I started my journey and I even told my boyfriend today that I feel different. I feel my stomach isn't hanging as much and I feel stronger and more fit. I actually felt good about myself for the first time. I forgot to weigh myself and take my measurements so I will have to do that in the morning. Hopefully some of my numbers have changed in a good way. I do, however, have to realize that sometimes numbers go up or stay the same because I'm gaining muscle as well as loosing fat.

Today I was a little under the weather and didn't want to eat much but I tried to stay healthy. For breakfast I went to a friends and she taught me how to make a poached egg with just boiling water and 1tsp of white vinegar. I had two eggs and also had grapes with that. For lunch I wasn't feeling well and didn't feel like anything but I was hungry so I had cheese and turkey meat (I know! Dairy and sodium are both bad for me right now). For dinner I was experimenting with Hot Links and I tried one and couldn't eat it anymore so I just had mixed carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower.

I didn't work out because my stomach was bugging me. I even took a two hour nap with my son. Maybe my body is just warn down and needed some rest. Tomorrow is shopping day and I am excited to try new recipes I have been seeing on Pinterest.  Until tomorrow Ladies and Gentlemen.

Day 13 and 14

So day 13 and 14 are being combined because I have been running around like a crazy person and forgot to do day 13 yesterday.  I'm sorry about that you guys.

Day 13 started with strawberries for breakfast and then I had a chicken salad for lunch and dinner. I held off on exercising because I was pretty soar from the squats and sit ups the night before. I went to visit the parents so it was easiest to just do chicken salads.

Day 14 I also was running around with my sisters so we ate out twice. for breakfast I had a nature valley granola bar with peanut butter. For lunch we went to Red Robin and I got the Ensenada Chicken Platter which was so delicious. For dinner the girls wanted Jack in the Box so I got the chicken Teriyaki bowl. I could have done better with no teriyaki sauce but I didn't realize it came already on it.

For exercise we walked for about an hour. I didn't track on how far we walked but it was almost an hour because we were waiting on one sister to take a summer school test and it took that long before we went back to the car. It was a good work out and my 12 year old sister was even complaining about it, LOL. Until next time Ladies and Gentlemen.

Thank you all for the support! I just hit 1,000 views today! You are all helping me so much you have no idea. Keep following because I'm sure I will be nice and fit by this time next year, but hopefully sooner. Thank you all so much again. If you aren't following me on my Facebook page or Pinterest please do so! I want you all to have access to all my research and posts. As much as you are supporting me, I would like to return the favor and help you all out if you are looking for some help like me.

Day 12

Day 12 was a busy day. I had my shake for breakfast and chicken and strawberries for Lunch. But for dinner I had some barbecue wings and that was not good. I only had five but I felt awful.

Now although I had Personal training today, I also managed to get to the challenge I promised you guys. If you watch the video below and then click on the link below that, you will see a video of me doing the squats and sit ups.

Now I didn't get to do all 560 squats or the 116 sit ups but I did a lot. In total I was able to do 300 squats and 50 sit ups. That is a record for me so I thank you all for the push and support to getting my butt in shape. Until next time ladies and gentlemen.

Day 11

So I posted this ^^^^ on my Facebook and you would not believe how many sit-ups and squats I have to do! I will be completing this challenge tonight and posting a video on tonight's blog so stay tuned!!!!!!

Anyways, yesterday was day 11 and I had personal training and she kicked my ass more than the first 2 days! I could hardly finish most of the work out because it felt like my knees were giving out from being sore. She worked my legs mostly and it was intense!!!!! If anyone has time or the money to put towards personal training I feel that it is with it because they really push you to your limit!

I broke down and had cereal with almond milk but it was honey bunches of oats which is better than most cereals. For lunch and throughout the work day I snacked on a salad from Boudin called Lemony Cous Cous Salad and it was amazing. I did however dip my fork in the dressing instead of pouring it on. For dinner we had company so the easiest thing to make was pasta with ground turkey. Instead of eating regular pasta I got (for myself) gluten free, quinoa spaghetti and it wasn't bad. A friend did tell me about these tofu noodles that are good and also I have yet to try zucchini noodles but I want to try them.
I have yet to be persistent with the vitamins I'm supposed to take. It's hard to remember. Does anyone have any suggestions on this dilemma? Well, until tonight ladies and gentlemen!

Sunday, August 2, 2015

Day 10

Wow! I can't believe it has been 10 days of this. I feel like I have already gotten into a routine. I feel really good when I eat well and I don't have a lot of stomach issues. I have had cheat days, yes, but as long an I keep it to 1 cheat meal and not do it so often I think I will be fine. I have had pizza twice this week as my cheat meal which is very bad. BUT I LOVE PIZZA! I have been researching healthy +pizza choices. You can follow me on Pinterest and see what I have come up with.

So I started my day with an Herbalife shake with Almond Milk of coarse, then, I had chicken and veggies for lunch and dinner. My water intake has dropped over the last 2 days dramatically due to working so much. I need to come up with a system that reminds me to drink in between clients. Its also hard to take those vitamins every time I eat when I'm working. If only there was some kind of way to tell my brain to do these things in between clients I will be a happy camper.

No one is perfect, I certainly am not. I try my best to get onto this routine of eating healthy and working out. I'm excited for my second week of personal training and daily workouts I have planned for this week. I will be traveling again also, so I think that I will have to do some "at home workouts". Until tomorrow Ladies and Gentleman!

Day 9

Today was a busy working day of coarse so today was my rest day for exercise. As for food, I had an Herbalife shake for breakfast and chicken with veggies and rice for lunch! Dinner was another story. I had pizza for dinner and then went out with some friends for some drinks at a birthday party. I am so bloated. Tomorrow I need to make up for it.

I am becoming more curious about plexus. I think it may be beneficial as far as my digestive system goes. When I have the money I am going to try it. I think that getting my digestion and metabolism on track, I would loose weight quicker. I know this will take time though. I need to work on being patient that's for sure.
